License Renewal Deadline 9/30 annually CPE Reporting Period 10/1 to 9/30 annually General Requirement 40 hours Ethics Requirement 4 hours every 3 years Credit Limitations- Maximum of 50% in the following subject matters:
- communication arts
- mathematics, statistics, probability and quantitative applications in business
- economics
- business, securities, and administrative law
- human resources policies
- computer software applications
- Maximum self-study allowed: 100%

Acceptable Programs of Study: Maine CPE requirements state... "will qualify as acceptable CPE if it is a formal program of learning which contributes directly, at a professional level, to the professional competence of a licensee in public practice. It will be left to the individual licensee to determine the course of study to be pursued."
